See them walking hand in hand across the bridge at midnight
Heads turning as the lights flashing out it's so bright
Then walk right out to the fourline track
There's a camera rolling on her back, on her back
And I sense the rhythm humming in a frenzy all the way down her spine

Ugh! I am going to have to look through my bazillion bookmarks..as I am ashamed to say that I am BAD with names...can't keep 'real' names and screen names straight!
I do have to agree that Dirk's work is quite lovely.
I would say for sure he is one of my favorites!!

I know I owe you an email too! CRAZY couple of weeks...it was VERY sweet of you to mention me...I haven't been able to post as often as I like...plus the one thing that's always bugged me about this site vs the other photo forums where I hang is that you can't post pics right from your computer. I find it to be a pain to have to upload somewhere to share..probably why I don't share so much...also, since dpreview in general gets sooo much traffic and it's 'free'....I worry about privacy...but that's just me.
Anyway..thank you for NOT sharing my website...I might do that another time ;-)

Hi,

As I'm to obsessed in making new series and images almost day and night there's almost no time for visiting forums, I jump in from time to time. So it would be unfair to mention my favorites because I don't know many of the more recent posters. I could mention some from the past that I remember, of course my good friend Martin Crespo, James Russell, Mahesh, Zane Paxton (not sure that he posted here), DiDo (fantastic perfect night shots), Robert M., and certainly many more but their names are not coming to my mind for the moment.

Thanks to all who mentionned my name here, I'm flattered and proud and as I see that I will try to post a bit more in the future. I did a wedding last week and I always refuse weddings but if it's for friends or family I can't refuse of course. Funny is that he's also an addicted photographer and I learned to know him via Internet (like many other fine people who I met later in real life). I will try to post a few here one of these days.

Hello

I consider myself a fuji photographer after having used an S-1 and an S-2 for quite some time and think both cameras are great.

Nowdays I am using a D-200... having used Nikon glass for 30+ years it's difficult to change brands and leave all one has behind.

I am also on the lookout for the next fuji camera...

My web site is http://www.leosalazar.com/

Hope you like the work I present.

Regards to all

Leo

All these old favourites, the great and the good. I totally agree with all the names so far, but it is difficult to remember all of them.
One it would be a shame to miss is Gerhard of Perth, Aus.

There is some run-of-the-mill event stuff on the site but this is a link to some of the better portfolio work, I enjoyed the studio work best:
http://www.perthdigital.com/portfolio.html

I wouldn't class his work with the all time greats but I used to enjoy the consistent and high standard of photographs offered by this FSLR contributor and the technical input too.

I recall we FSLR users got to help choose the best logo for the site, as seen on the following link. As well as the night time shot, check out the links to a postcard gallery and one with fruit images that I think are really good and unusual. I have never seen anything even similar anywhere, before or since. Anyway, the link:
http://www.perthdigital.com/Galleries/gallery.htm

Unfortunately the guy had a tendency to upset people and was banned on a number of occasions. Although reappearing under different aliases, (GMD, wing88, J.., ...) he has never been seen since, at least not as we knew him.

Such a shame, could it be a hint of the flawed genius. Maybe not. I guess unless he visits here again we will never know what he is up to now. Probably off somewhere on the web sharing the benefits of his wisdom to all who will listen, although still no doubt antagonising a few. Que sera sera, C'est la vive.

I have to join the ranks of Dirk Vermeirre fans, really the one who inspired me to get the S3.

Zane Paxton worked wonders with the S2, with really stunning landscapes: http://www.pbase.com/devonshire

Not sure if Cyrus Kamak has a website, but his incredibly rich images of reptiles are some of the best ads for Fuji colour I've ever seen...

Where are the FujiFilm ads featuring images by Dirk, Martin Crespo, Zane Paxton, Cyrus..?
