What is my mistake?

Yes I know, my English is very poor, but is it the mistake? Yesterday I gave an answer on this forum to "Sex amongst the daisies and summer sunsets" from Jono Slack, and nothing was published. My message gave only an image with the name of a flower and my address on pbase. What I do not understand, that is not to receive any explanation. WHY?

Web servers are not 100% reliable in their communication with browsers. Your message was probably not received properly by the web server. It happens occasionally on almost all web servers.

To avoid lost work it's good to get into the habit of using Windows clipboard to save what you've typed in case you have to resend it. For example, when I'm on Hotmail I always press Ctrl+A (select all text) and Ctrl+C (copy to clipboard) before clicking on Send. Then if Hotmail messes up and doesn't receive my message I can click on New Message again, and then copy the text back into the window with Ctrl+V.

There must be some kind of censorship software build in.
Two weeks ago I posted a message about the review of the 35-100 lens
in the news section, and this message was deleted within one minute.
I tried it again and after that it disappeared within two minutes
and I was banned from posting in the news forum.

My equipment is in my profile.
Sorry if there are typing errors in my texts.
I usually do not check that before sending.

Was you trying to start a new thread?

They could have been pulle dbcos they was 'off topic'?

I don't think it's 'automatic censorship', I think it's by human hand!

key words are picked up by computer.others picked up by people
take longer.with the new complaint button every nut in the forum
gets in on the action.

In the Oly Talk forum, one guy was temporarily banned for bumping threads too much. I guess there is a limit to how many posts you can make in a given time, when you hit it, you are done for a week.

Hi André,

There's nothing wrong with your English, so don't worry about that.

And I'm quite sure messages do not get deleted due to poor English anyway.

Why do you think it was not just a computer glitch? Could you tell us more exactly what happened?

An other and last thing. I accept to be banned, but I need simply
to know WHY!
I got a temporary ban for bumping a REALLY stupid thread into oblivion. (It was near 150 posts and had gotten pretty ugly, people were calling names...) Anyway, they never even told me it was temporary, I just figured it out when I could log in a week later.

Hi André,

What I'm not sure of is whether or not your message posted at all?

If it posted, and was then deleted, I can understand that you are upset.

If it never posted at all then my guess is that it was just a computer glitch. You should try again.

I've had this happen, and for some reason found I simply couldn't reply to a particular thread - my reply just vanished into cyberspace. I've also had one that appeared in another thread in a forum I don't even read. It didn't show in "My Threads" and I only found out when someone emailed me complaining that I was some sort of troll posting OT threads...

Never expect software to be perfect ;-)

Earlier this summer, I posed a reply here and it ended up in a Canon forum. Other strange things were happening too — though some of it was from using html symbols unintentionally.

Well actually, I can't find the errant message in my history. This site does do some "cleaning" from time to time.

When I was having the weird problems, I also was unable to attach links to my imageevent.com pics. I'd check the "preview" and boom — the whole post got wiped out. That's fixed now.

Anyway, have you tried doing the same thing again a few days later?
