I downloaded RS essentials, loved it but for the fact that it doesn't have crop and rotate functions. Then I downloaded RS premium, think it's really great, and best of all, unlike Bibble, it doesn't turn my computer into a crawling bucket of mollasses. Rendering in the background of pictures seems to have no impact on my computer just like ACR. Also, tools and rendering by RS premium are superior to ACR.

So, my problem is that RS premium expires in 10 days because I can't buy a license key. I don't suppose anyone knows how to extend the free use period while I wait for it to be incorporated into a windows version of lightroom.

You cannot even download the trial for RSP any longer. Thanks Adobe.

Try not letting the calender/clock on your PC go past the end of trial date. On some trial software you can even get it to work, if it's past the trial date, by setting your calender back within the trial date. I'm not suggestting you do this though. That would make you a bad person.

...great questions - I am in the same boat - I love RawShooter...LR is way too slow on PC to even use...

I know of no hack for the license key - you can always try this:

1. Take a copy of Windows that DOESN'T have RSP installed and never has.
2. Make a copy of the registry
3. Install the RSP trial.
4. Make another copy of the registry

5. Compare the two copies to see if you can find the differences. As long as you or Windows has done nothing else (no new programs, no new updates, etc.), you should have the registry entries that determine when the trail started
5. Delete those entries.
6. Reinstall RSP
7. Rinse, lather, repeat.

Doesn't always work. Always is a PITA. You might just continue RSE and do your other functions in Photoshop or whatever. Although I use RSP, RSE has 95% of the functionality.

Grrrr. They take Paradise and put up a Parking Lot.

Use Total Uninstall. Much easier and equally effective.

I bought Raw Shooter Premium but never use it. I tried Silkypix, preferred that so I have stuck with it. It's fast for me, but I have a quick box, dual processors, and Silkypix like Photoshop will use dual processors.
