Hello,

Anyone have an Olympus digital camera recommendation? I've done a lot of reasearch over the last few weeks, and have come down to picking from the C3040Z, C4040Z or the D-40Z. All three are in my price range. I currently own a 1.3 D450Z + accessories. Thanks in advance.

It depends on what you want to do with the camera. I just "upgraded" from a D-490Z to a C-2100UZ because I wanted the 10X zoom. Then I ordered an A-200 teleconverter because sometimes 10X is not enough! I love my 2100 & sold my 490. I've been toying with the idea of the D-40Z for a quick P&S addition. Good luck!

karenet ,

I just moved from my 2-year old 2020 to a 4040 and I'm quite satisfied. I don't take any photos that would requires a 10x lens. As stated in an previous post, it depends on what you want to do with the camera. I like the 4040 for the bright 1.8 lens, noise reduction, pixel mapping, and ease of USB connection (no drivers required).

Good Luck,
Frank
