Where to get Photoshop CS?

I want to get Photoshop CS like so many of you have and recommend but can't honestly see myself spending $600 for this program.

Is there somewhere you got it cheaper or do you recommend a more affordable program??

I picked up a mint condition PS version 3 complete with manuals and mail in registration at a garage sale for $5. I rang Adobe in Sydney, gave them the serial number & they confirmed that it qualified for $150 upgrade to CS2. I already had CS2 installed, so I put the PS 3.0 on Ebay with the info about it qualifying for an upgrade purchase of CS2 & it sold for $150. The buyer later told me that he upgraded to CS2 ok.

Of course, some people just download the CS2 trial & then Google CS2 Keygen and bob's your uncle. If you go down that route, which is illegal of course, beware that the sites offering hacks, keygens and serials tend to be full of virus's.
