Can I use 4gb card in the Z850?

From what I read, you can use a 4GB Card, but the camera will only use 2MB of the card.

Strange. I have a 4GB A-Data 150x card that does NOT work on either my 850 or 750 even after doing the 850 firmware update to 1.1B. I just get "Card Error" when I try to turn the camera on.

That's why I ask. I have the new firmware, but my 4gb PQi "Hi-Speed 150" doesn't work, but I also think my card could be faulty.

It could be faulty but I don't think mine is. It works perfectly in my S3 so I'm really not sure why it isn't working in my Casios.

If you cannot format this card directly in camera (Z850) I would suggest you to try format it with PC (using an external card reader). But don't forget to format it with FAT32! FAT16 cannot use more than 2GB of memory.

Formatting cards over 2GB in Z750 is not a good idea, because this camera cannot use cards over 2GB. So it most probably format the cards with FAT16.

That’s strange. Maybe I misinterpreted the notes that came with the firmware upgrade. It seems to me that I read somewhere that the new firmware will support SDHC cards. Are they typically over 2GB?
