Weekly date challenge #11: July 29th

Hi Mike!

Tough, tough, tough.

I have this one from 2005:

That was easy, because I don't have much else.

But for 2006 (This is the one to judge, if only one image per poster is allowed, thanks.), I spent the day at my parent's and their huge garden, with the DFA 100...
...so I had some decision making to do.

Wasps, spiders, dragonfly Exhuviae and larvae, a robber fly and some boring flowers. Quite a day...

The final decision was between a high-key surrealistic spider or a realistic pair of wasps with a twist. Argh, the suspense is killing me, I need to get this decided...

Wasp Twins

FEAR

Ok, take the #ummm# the #weellll#. Hm, the spider processing is new to me, but I haven't posted a wasp before, so...

Ah, what the, take the two wasps, I like how the pose of the two is like a mirror image.

Next time please choose a day where I only have one decent pic, okay? ;)

Cheers
Jens

My weekly date challenge for the 29th of July is currently involved in the DOF challenge. Is there anyway that you can accept a late entry? I do not want to compromise it on the DOF challenge. The DOF challenge ends 11:59 GMT on the 8th August, so can the weekly challenge be extended?

Took this one while playing with my new FA 50/1.4 . . .

*ist DL, FA 50/1.4, 1/4000s f/2.0 at 50.0mm iso200 with Flash

my grass is not this green - I love what the velvia photoshop action does to an otherwise drab shot.

Hi Lance!

Are you sure about publishing this shot yet?
You know I like it, but it seems a bit early...

It will make no difference to the outcome of the DOF challenge as far as I can see. I have checked the points and it isn't in the running, if my additions are correct.
