I have nothing from 2004, 2005, or 2006. I actually took my camera and my sailing gear to the beach Saturday and sailed my 3.7 for several hours. I intended to break out the camera when my wife showed up and take some shots of her sailing but the wind died just after she arrived so it didn't happen. It would have been fun to enter a shot of her in this challenge.

Without gravity, what would we do with water?

A trip to the Museum of Natural History where I grabbed a shot of this HUGE (prehistoric) shark tooth. K24/2.8 lens at 2.8 (maybe f4) and ISO3200. A simple B&W conversion to finish it off.

This is my first post to a challenge. All of the other dates were before I owned my camera. This was taken with the kit lens in Yorktown VA.

That is a picture I can like! Nearly too artistic but I would have pressed the trigger the same way, if I had seen the situation and so on that is...

Taken some shots over the weekend 'cause it's some special date for us (our son reached 100 day milestone while his big sister reaches 2yr 4mth ...), here is one I quite like taken on Saturday, July 29th:

Ds+31LE @ F3.2, 1/60s, ISO200 jpg.

The background (bed sheet) could've been better, but I really like the fun moment they had together.

Cheers,

At last the date challange is a date when I got some photos. This is a tall ship visiting Auckland
Kit lens. 1/640 f/10.0 and a lot of PS to fix the light.

Cheers

Thanks for the comment Jonas.

I got the DFA 10-17 fisheye recently and I am surprised at versatility of this lens Sometimes it dosen't look very fishy as the picture shows.

Another first entry into the Weekly Date Challenge.

Taken with a cheap Cosina 100mm F3.5 macro. This was won on ebay for £24 and arrived the day before (28th), so it is one of my first shots with this lens. Unfortunately came with out the 1:1 adaptor but for the price I paid I can't complain.

Still need some practice, things with wings will not stay still :-(

Zip the bug my mistake :D So, I keep the photo. Take it just last Saturday in the bird park. Kind of funny I take a lot of bird shot on Saturday, but I put a flower with bug on the challenge.

First date challenge for me. Fortunately, it corresponds to my first serious shoot with my fairly recently acquired DS.

Cheers,
Lib

On a weekend excursion in Napa valley with some friends. This particular winery is called Peju Province ( http://www.peju.com ). Carol was flipping through some cookbooks while her husband and I sampled the vintages and listened to the 55 year old sommelier do a bizarre rap act. The sun was streaming through the stained glass and cast a nice glow on the room.

In case you're wondering if I had a nasty bit of CA, the answer is no. Carol has pink highlights in her hair.

My initial reaction to the date: "Finally, a date I took some decent pics on!"

My reaction after that faded: "Shoot, I took 328 pictures that day, how the heck will I decide on just one?!"

So anyway, it was a hard decision, but I decided to go with this one:

Sparklers at a pyrotechnics event (probably the most tame thing there). Taken with the DA16-45@29mm, ISO 800, f/4, 1.3 second shutter.
