I have been away for a while, mostly working. I see everyone is still doing well here at the forum. Here is a shot I took last night of my 150mW pulsar laser from Wicked Lasers Using my D2h and 50mm lens. A six second exposure was done of the subject. I used a thread to suspend the laser and removed the thread in photoshop.

Well I just collect lasers as a hobby, especially when they are
rated over 150mW like this one. The kind you get at the local store
range around 2~3.5mW. This laser actually burns things!
Can you get any other color besides red?

And that without batteries!

That's pretty amazing how you captured the perfect beam with a 6 second exposure without any visible particulates in the air. ;0)

I figured that was just a photoshopped in beam effect. In that case, I am truly impressed. Neat effect. I figured the candle smoke would have given the beam a less even distribution appearance, and you would have had an interference pattern visible, even with the long-ish exposure.

Neat-o.
