Does anybody have a current B&H code. I would like to get some sandisk memory. All the codes I've seen so far make the prices go up higher than the current normal price for sandisk extreme memory.

Thanks,

Thanks for the codes, but psmay does not have the Sandisk 4GB Extreme III and psjl has it for $219, and without a code the price is $199.

I see a 4GB card as a long term investment. At least several years, so I would like to get a good one that is dependable. It's just very hard to find 4GB Sandisk Extreme III, and with all the fake Sandisk cards floating around, I don't want to risk getting a fake one.

Or, just go to Newegg...

Just bought a 80x 4 gig for $79.99 plus s&h (not Sandisk)
very reputable seller
Yes Newegg is reputable but I don't trust my digital images to anything but SanDisk.

When I was a kid we used pin hole cameras when not borrowing the old mans Rolleiflex.

I've used them for years now...you will not find better cusomter service and prices are generally very competitive. They've just recently started stocking a lot of Canon gear..Mark II...L lenses....you'd be wise to check them out.

On the "Welcome to B&H Page" enter the code in the search box. When you search using the code you will get a list of manufacuters that have one or more items covered by that code. You then select the manufacturer of interest.

It took me awhile to figure out how to use the code.

Well that's a hell of a note. Get this. the sandisk extreme III 4gb compact flash is normally 199.95. Put the code psjl in and find the same sandisk card and it comes up at 215. The mfr# is the same but the B&H# changes to reflect the psjL. that's stupid that the price is higher with the "promo" code.

I was thinking that psjl is an old code at BH. I wish they would offer a rebate. Cause Calument photo has it for $205 with a $32 rebate.

Suit yourself, but there are plenty of other reliable manufacturers of memory cards. In fact, the only card that I ever had a failure with was a Sandisk.

If you are shooting with a 30d, the Sandisk Extreme IV is less than half of one percent faster than the 150x Ridata card, and you can have 3 of them for the price of one Sandisk Extreme IV. And according to Rob Galbraith, cards that are less than 5% different in speed, are indistinguishable in real life use.

(Comparison based on 2-gig cards; speed figures derived from Rob Galbraith's CF database)

I guess Sandisk spends a lot more on advertising...

Sometimes they give a cheaper price over the phone. If they ask what price do you see it for turn the question right back around and ask them what price they see it for.

The Sandisk Extreme III is a good card, but have you consider the Lexar 133x?

If you visit http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007 and look at the drop-down menu, you will notice that the Lexar 133x is faster than the Extreme III.

Using the PSMAY code, you can get it for $146.95 for 4GB. I paid about $220 just a few months ago for mine.

As for NewEgg, it's a very reputable site and they do carry good quality non-mainstream memory. Transcend is a brand that I would recommend.

Why not get the Ridata 150x, which is faster than the lexar according to Rob Galbraith, and costs only $84.99 for the 4-gig? There are more problems with Lexar cards in Canon cameras than any other brand of memory card.

The current code is psjl
Those are from July 2005. They're obsolete and should have been rendered inactive.
