Airborne TZ1

Picture taken outof a small airplane (you know, the ones with a coffee grinder on each wing) during the descent to the Copenhavn airport.

Have TZ1 for few months now but not many time to take pictures (this was on business trip). Feedback is welcome!!

Cleaned up with NI. ISO 80, Focal 12mm, F/3.8, 1/630s.

TinnyPic resized it to 250KB. Tried to put it on FreeImageHosting but uploading does not seem to work for now.

Nice picture. The noise reduction and/or jpeg compression ruined the details, but the original must look very good from what I can see.

the lack of detail is likely due to 3 things...

1) shooting through an airplane window
2) any mist or smog in the air

3) the more air you have between you and your subject the less clear and sharp your subject will look

Lovely.

I took these using the Aerial Scene mode on a flight to Malta. No PP. Not sure whether the mode made any difference. The Tizzy is such a good all-rounder.

Actually, the lack of detail is indeed not (only) due to the compression of TinyPic. It is also visible on a A4 size printout, which for the rest looks quite nice.

This plane is in descent and I think that, this not being a really stable platform to shoot from, there will probably be some camera shake in the picture albeit counteracted by the OIS.

Also, this was taken last week when it was very hot weather so the air wavered.

But all in all, considering the small size of the box that made the picture ...
