First of all, the body in the teaser ad is not a D200 body. Any D200 update would surely just involve the internal guts of the D200 but still use the existing D200 body, which is the best small body I've ever used (and the best small body available from anybody, as far as I'm concerned).
Secondly, the D200 just came out and probably won't be publicly updated for awhile yet. I said publicly updated, but I could believe there may be a silent update or two. Nikon has done that before - add in some updates and just not tell anyone. But the teaser ad is a very public announcement, so it just wouldn't make sense for it to be a D200 update. Besides, the only thing that's really wrong with the D200 is the occasional short banding that some people see. I don't see a banding fix introduced the way this new camera is being introduced.
Most likely the teaser ad is for a new camera that's going to fit between the D70s and D200 in the lineup. It'll most likely be targeted against the new Sony DSLR, and Canon's 30D. As someone else said, it'll most likely be a D200 lite. Plastic body. Fewer readout channels. A few other tradeoffs to reduce cost.
As for those people who suggest it'll be a full frame - dream on. The teaser ad clearly shows a consumer-grade body, like the D50 or D70s. When Nikon finally introduces full frame (and it will someday), it'll first show up in a full pro body (D3 maybe?).
Regarding the rumored D20 name - that doesn't make any sense, unless Nikon is totally revamping it's naming conventions. Under the current naming conventions, a D20 would be a very, VERY low spec cameara. If Nikon does come out with such a low spec camera (something below the D50), it won't have a 10 MPix sensor. That would totally undercut the D50, which I don't think Nikon will do. However, while I don't think the new 10.2 MPix camera will be a D20, that doesn't mean Nikon isn't also coming out with a new low end camera. But why D20? All other consumer grade bodies have had odd numbers. So that would suggest a new low spec body would be a D30. Again, this all assumes Nikon isn't totally revamping it's naming conventions.
The most logical explanations are usually the best explanations. And the most logical place for a new camera with 10.2 MPix is a new camera that fits between the D70s and D200 in features. D80 seems to be the most bandied about name.
