I presently own a d70, a 18-70mm, a 28-200mm, a 50mm 1:8, and a SB800. I am not a pro and like to take pictures of my garndchildren, wildlife and "action" shots (sports, surfers, etc). A lot of pics are taken inside with low light and with or without flash. After more than a year amd many thousands of pictures I am a little frustrated by my inability to get decent JPG's straight off the camera. I can get very nice shots if I shoot RAW but the PP time and effort are not always practical and would like to have a camera that gives me the OPTION of shooting RAW. With the d70 i feel RAW is a necessity (specially with flash/ low light pics).
Having said that, I am wondering if the D50 would make a big difference for me (mainly in the JPG's with no PP) or I should be looking in to the P&S cams (may be the Panasonic FZ30, the Canon S3 or the Sony's), but.......I love the speed and feel of the D70!
TIA, Norberto
