LBA FA*300 f4.5

Lovely shot.

Funny I used my FA* 300 a on the 23rd of last month in Richmond park in london. It was a very hot day. I'm glad a took the lens since there were loads of warnings about it being "new born" season and that it is dangerous to get close to the deer. the 300mm help then, though I did use a 1.7 tele converter with it as well. I didn't see any babies unless they were the babies! (grown)

Processed in aperture:

1/45s f/9.5 at 300.0mm iso200

1/60s f/9.5 at 300.0mm iso400

I used a cheap velborn tripod from jessops (UK camera shop).

Well there were a lot of them and femlae ones as well but no babies, so I just assume they are young bucks:

definitely joking Eric, that big guy must be around 7 years old. My "own" deer have been using my garden for shelter for years, the doe was born in the garden. I can get within about 25 yards of them before they get spooked, like last Sunday when they came across me clearing some of the wild growth. The doe tried a face-off with me with the fawn hiding behind her. And my camera was inside the house at the time!
