New York - World Trade Center Portrait

Nice pic. I like the way you were able to maintain detail in his shirt despite the blown-out windows.
BTW, have you tried various crops?

But I will play around with it a little more, thanks for the advice.
LOL - I wouldn't call it advice perse. Upon looking at it more, I do like the composition. By taking it at the angle you did, you turned the strong horizontal lines into diagonal lines (which are nice). You might try cropping it various ways (up/down, left/right)to move the diagonal formed by the carpet/tile to see what you get.
I might even try rotating it a few degrees either way.

As long as people take pictures like this one with a D70, I wonder why people are so desperately interested in its successor. Awesome photograph!

AWESOMELY APPEALING. I find this photo to be very interesting. Less is more...The B&W is ideal. For some reason I find myself staring at this photo and being drawn into the subject matter. In my opinion, a good, pardon me, a GREAT photo has a way of doing that. Recropping not needed. It aint broke...DON"T FIX IT!

Break out your wallet and frame it.

Good catch,
Milt

Thank you so much Milton for the great comments. It really makes you feel great to hear your peers talking about your photos in such light (no pun intended). I am a big fan of this site and love how supportive everyone can be. I took this using the kit lens and my D70 and makes me realize that sometimes instead of obssessing about new lenses, I should just get out there do what I love... make photographs.

Thanks for the support from everyone who commented on the photo

Jay
