You really need a tripod for those water motion shots. #1 shows that clearly.

They are both a bit underexposed. Which was inevitable in teh manner you were shooting this scene. A tripod would have given you the ability to capture more light.

Don't let any of that be discouraging. Just keep at it.

You'll have to ignore the gallery's collection of bad compositions, improper exposures, and amateurish post processing. ;)

 
I think landscape shots with little or no sky showing force us to think harder and longer about composition. The quality of the composition of the pictures posted here bear this out.

Thanks to all who took the time to dig out these shots and share them with the forum.

It is a pleasure to post and interact in the Samples and Galleries forum where the discourse seems to be kept on a more positive plane than in the gear specific forums.
