Hello folks

Thanks for the huge amount of information you post in this forum. I hope to put some of that in practice as soon as i buy a camera.... so my question is :

what is the main difference between the D50 and D70?, the comparison avilable in this page shows almost no difference... but is there really something to justify the extra us$150 (more and less) for the D70.does it really have more advanced features?

and , if you know... how is the D70 compared to the Canon 350d ? i don't think it worths to pay more for the 2 mpixels

thanks for your advice!

No one is trying to be rude or insensitive to your question. In all honesty, this question has been beaten to death and we're all a bit weary. There's a lot of speculation about the new models that will supercede the D70s and D50. So, like others have said, search the forum. The comparison has been made since the D50 came out and hasn't really let up. There are staunch supporters of both models. The D70s is now $200 more affordable, which makes the comparison even harder. There are hardware differences between the two. And, if you are looking for a DSLR that will require less post processing time, the D50 is likely for you. I own the D70s and the only thing I don't like about it is that I must rework every shot for shadows, brightness, and sometimes saturation. This can be addressed with in-camera adjustments and custom curves, but does require more effort, IMO.
