I see that nobody has started a new WDYSPT thread after the last one reached the 150 post limit, so here goes a brand new one.

I hope that it will get filled with photos and comments very quickly (it took looong 9 days to finish the llast one - previously it was taking about 3-4 days).

Please remember to post your pictures by replying to the first post in this thread and changing the subject line to give your pic(s) a unique title (plus date of posting).

Comments are very welcome - they help to move things along and give feedback to those who post their pics here.

For newbies WDYSPT? means "What did you shoot/process today?" and the "today" is the date on which you took, posted or processed the pic -- it doesn't have to be the same day as this thread started.

Best regards,
MiPr

Hi All,

Here's a few more from our recent trip to Antigua. Certainly not my best work ever on that trip, but I took advantage of relaxation more... I was having so much fun doing other stuff that it was more of a chore to take pictures! Strange!!!

Very tough to get these birds to stand still, not great light either... :(

Having fun with photos. A little searching can go a long way.

Very nice! I wonder how much that second one weighs, lots of metal there!

Unusual subject MiPr.
Why unusual?
Are these things common in Poland?
Hmm, depends on how to define "common". I know about four or five such places, but there could be many more. Usually such places are located in the neighbourhood of some sacred place. For instance the my photos were taken in Trzebnica - small town north of Wrocław, Poland. This is the town where saint Hedwig of Andechs (Jadwiga Śląska) lived and died (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hedwig_of_Andechs ).

Another similar place in the "neighbourhood" of Wrocław is Wambierzyce ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wambierzyce ).

Best regards,

These are some pictures I took yesterday at the Waimea Canyon Park
in Kauai, Hawaii.

Cheers,

A view of the canyon:

Some falls we found along the way:

I found the red dirt in some areas interesting:

This island has wild roosters and chickens roaming everywhere:

Finally, some panoramic views.
First, the view of the Waimea canyon,

then this one from the other side of the island, the Hanalei lookup:
