Capture NX... today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a very active forum as it is and once we have had a chance to play with NX i have a feeling posts will not stay on the front page for long. I don't expect NX to be any sort of miracle product but I have a hunch it will do a lot for us for a reasonbly small cash outlay. I am very excited about this release.

Japan may have to wait a few more hours so that the rest of the world can catch up to 7-7-06. 4 PM Tokyo time is equal to midnight Los Angeles time so the launch (if it happens) may occur at the very end of the day in Japan.
 
I agree Gary, it does look very nice. It does however look like it will take some practicing to find it's full potential with the bold new way it works as far as the toolset goes. I can't wait to download it and give it a try.

Agreed on all 3 sentences. It looks like the hardest part initially will be figuring out exactly how the u-points work, and how they figure what space you're hoping to work with. I'm also looking forward to the simple paint and eraser tools that work with the effects directly, i.e. you blur the entire image and erase manually the part of the image you want back to normal.

I just started into photography last January, and I've found that PP'ing is one of my favorite things about it. NC4.4 (coupled with PSCS2) has enabled me to do so many things with my photographs to make them better. Ever since I first read about Capture NX, I've been excited about the possibilities.

Good point! The download is more readily available (and smaller) if you have already installed Microsoft's .net framework at an earlier time.
 
Exactly what is .net?
