I am leaving today to go on a trip upstate overnight so I will not be around to look through all these wonderful photos when the deadline occurs.

So I figure why not add a day to the contest so when I get back tommorow I can shut it down and judge the photos.

So the contest is extended until Sunday, July 9th - 2006 until 3pm Eastern Standard Time or 8pm GMT.

I think I've snuck in here just in time, thanks to the deadline extension...

don't really have many shots in this category at all - actually, almost zero - but here are a few I did find:
1. "Cranes"



2. "Old Engine"



and finally, not sure if this one really fits the category at all, but anyhow a different kind of engine

3. "Difference Engine" - replica of a Babbage machine in the London Science Museum
