Hello:

Have been using th F30 for a couple of weeks, and I must say, I am pleasantly surprised.

First, here are some samples of outdoor closeups-

The camera does a great job in most situations, but not being an expert in the field of photography, here are some of my challenges that I am hoping to get guidance and coaching from the wonderful DPfamily of experts.....

1) For each picture situation (Odoor, Cloudy, Indoor, Macro, etc) is there a recommended set of settings, or preferred mode to use..

2) When I look at the exif of some of the best F30 pics on DPR, it does not tell me the mode the photo wa taken in (M, auto, Sp, natural, etc) How to tell..

3) Pictures taken at 1600 or above look a lot grainy in the camera screen than they do on a PC screen. Has anyone else seen this phenomenon..

4) When using Aperture priority, there is not shake warning in F3.2, but as you gor to F8, there is a shake warning. Would'nt the opposite ne the case??? that you would get the shake warning at F3.2 not F8. I realize that there is a different speed, but A priority setting should not behave like this..

5) Lastly, is there a tutorial/book on learning digital photography, and any Finepix/Fujifilm training tools out there?

6) What mode would the experts recommend for the following situations:
  • Indoor, night time (floursecent or incand lights)
  • Indoor daylight
  • Macro for both above conditions
  • Outdoor Sunny
  • Outdoor Cloudy
Appreciate any help and guidance..

F3.2 lets more light through than F8, so F8 needs a longer exposure time, thus there is more chance of camera shake.
