If you like what I can do with cards, wait til you see what I do with the limes.

the first two seem too over saturated. the intenseness of the clay detracts from the subject. the third seems too contrasty and again, a bit too much color. i love the 4th shot, but would have cropped more on the subject. the space to the right does not help the composition for me.

Tony, I apprecitate the critique

the 1st 2 have only been sharpened, the clay is that red, maybe I should have toned it down some (never went down in NC only up)

the third seems too contrasty and
again, a bit too much color.
i did overdo the rd pic...it was rather bland at 1st from the hot light

i love the 4th shot, but would have
cropped more on the subject. the space to the right does not help

our private bird sanctuarity....i'm there every sat or sun morning.

the island i shoot at is closed from apr-aug so the gbh-s can run a nursery so i anchor just offshore and read the paper waiting for the action. 1-2 flyovers every 10 minutes or so

..3 and 4 the best randy.

I know it's difficult with birds in flight but if you could have either captured or cropped so that the heron was flying into the frame instead of out of it that would have been better.

great neverthless ..

cheers,
