Nikon D70s vs. Fujifilm S3

I'm trying to decide which camera to buy, the Nikon D70s or Fujifilm S3. I've read both reviews on here and they seem to fair fairly well. I know that because I'm posting this in a Nikon forum I may get a bias towards the D70s, but people's general views on which would be the better camera would be appreciated.

I mostly want to use the camera for landscape and sports/action photography and already have Nikon lenses. I read on another topic that Nikon may be replacing/updating the D70s shortly, which made me slightly cautious of purchasing just yet.

Cheers for the help.

Andrew

Considering the fact that you posted this question in the D50/D70 forum, I'm sure everyone here is going to say the D70. But honestly I've never used the S3, but lets put it this way: Why do you see more professional photographers using Nikon Cameras and not Fujifilm?

You should post the same question on the Fuji forum.

I use a D70, but I know people who use Fuji. My understanding is that of all the dSLRs in this category, the Fuji S3 has the best dynamic range, and some claim the best tonal reproduction. However, many people complain about the speed and operation of the camera. If you are shooting sports, I think the D70 is better.

Andrew I have both the D70 and S3 and both have there good and bad points, D70 has much faster write speeds and probably sharper images straight out of the camera in raw mode compared to the Fuji but the colours produced by the S3 are nicer in my eyes anyway ! Jpegs out of the S3 are superb and don't need much PP if any, both excellent cameras. I think I have the best of both worlds with these 2 fine cameras, either would be a great choice in my opinion.
