Can you use 1600 mAh NIMH in the Canon S3 lS camera? I see there are 2500 in a review I read, but was curious if the 1600 could be used in lieu of, or if place of in a crunch.
Thanks,
Ellen

The mAH rating of batteries is an indication of how long they will supply enough power to run your camera. The higher the number, the longer the camera will run.Can you use 1600 mAh NIMH in the Canon S3 lS camera? I see there

The ONLY difference should be that the 1600s should last only 64% as long as the 2500s. Any other difference means that they were not properly conditioned to capacity or were faulty. Because AA rechargeables are made by so many companies, some not that good, you run more risk of getting bad ones.I had bad luck with 1600 mah nimh in Canon flash units. Switched
to 2500's and it was night and day difference. 2500's are also a
smidge larger (measure them with a micrometer), recycle faster, and
last longer. I don't have experience with them in cameras, but I
would expect some significant differences.
