good slideshow software?

Hi can anyone reccomend a really good slideshow software for the mac?

I have tried iPhoto but the new 06 version is rubbish, the quality of the images is worst than the last version.

anyone used a good version?

Adobe After Effects- but that's awesome slideshow software with the price to match. I have heard good things about Photo to Movie ( http://lqgraphics.com/ ) but I have never used it. There is also this: http://www.arizona-software.ch/applications/photopresenter/en/ . But After Effects is the ultimate.

I have used iPhoto for this for a long time now (currently iPhoto 6) and have no pronlems with it. You mention image quality, but for me, I've never seen any degredation of my images, and the transitions are butter.

I'm new to the Mac but this is my workflow and I'd be interested if anyone can offer suggestions as a better way to make a DVD slideshow,
First put all the photos in a single folder.
I sort the pictures add the Ken Burns effect and transitions.
I export that as an iMovie.

Pull it into garage band so i can add the sound and have complete control over the music and sound effects.
Send that all to iDVD and that's it.

I know iPhoto will make a nice slideshow but I want to more control. This seems to work for me.

I am curious, how is iMovie unsufficient for the sound control?
