Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. And let's talk the lesser 14-45. I used it last weekend and loved how my flowers turned out. Today I used the 50-200 and am disappointed with most of them. I have been tickled with the 50-200 other times, but not today. Sooooooooooo I think our 14-45 is great.

These are all beautiful, but since I LOVE daisies I'm very fond of that one, and then the tulips going up toward the sky is another favorite. You had to be down on your tummy for that one I bet.

The reason for the crumpled up aluminum foil is so there are more "points" that pick up light to relect it... and the middle is enough, because thre white board is reflecting light too..!

But, try it...it will probably do no harm..!

I have been itching to get out with my 50mm macro to shoot some flowers and insects. The weather this month in Minnesota has not helped. Lots of rain - wind and cool (highs in the 50s F). Took a trip down to Red Wing with the wife today to visit her mum and we stopped at a nursery to pick out a present. Took my E-1 along in and took a few snaps as we were picking out a rose bush. We were just shopping, but I think I may have wasted an opportunity, as the sunlight was very diffuse and there were many wonderful blooms on the potted roses. If there had been a sighn out front saying "state rose competition, 1 day only" I would have grabbed my tripod and gone to work, as it was I just took a few snaps. Oh well, spilt milk. Here is what I got;

We have two in our garden. They're about 3" in diameter on 18" stalks and last for perhaps 10-15 days before dying off.

Shot with E-500, 14-54, forced in-camera flash, and I believe flower mode
