I have been itching to get out with my 50mm macro to shoot some flowers and insects. The weather this month in Minnesota has not helped. Lots of rain - wind and cool (highs in the 50s F). Took a trip down to Red Wing with the wife today to visit her mum and we stopped at a nursery to pick out a present. Took my E-1 along in and took a few snaps as we were picking out a rose bush. We were just shopping, but I think I may have wasted an opportunity, as the sunlight was very diffuse and there were many wonderful blooms on the potted roses. If there had been a sighn out front saying "state rose competition, 1 day only" I would have grabbed my tripod and gone to work, as it was I just took a few snaps. Oh well, spilt milk.
