Nice pictures. I really like the second picture. The blue sky really makes the yellow wings stand out.

Those are gorgeous!!! Those swallowtails are my favorites. The Monarchs are pretty too, of course, but there is something about ST's that take my breath away. Great pics! =))

How did you get them that sharp ?
I tend to get photos out of the 850 that often look "softer"

Lisa, these are just gorgeous! I love the Tiger Swallowtails! The Black Swallowtails are pretty too. We have raised many a caterpillar into the Black Swallowtails. It was quite an experience for the whole family! If I can find the pictures, I'll scan them and post them so you can see.

I'm glad you guys told me what kind of butterflies these are. All I could say is that they were the big yellow ones! LOL!

Jan & Atindra, I shot these in P mode, 5 mg, fine with high color. No PP and some cropping on a couple of them. I think I may have used macro too.
