I think you might have figured out the story here. It is a Carrollian tragedy. The Gnome isn't a gnome at all, but is actually Alice, who not only partook of the "Eat Me!" mushroom (again!), but who also found a substance labeled "Snort Me" and suddenly experienced gender reassignment. Naturally, the Queen of Spades (portrayed in monochrome, of course) has a perverse interest in Alice's torment, and is keeping the "Smoke Me!" gender-reversal substance away from him... her... him... as well as the "Drink Me" size-restoration potion.

Meanwhile, the rabbit was late for something, and ended up in the post-processing forum and is now disguised as Jimi Hendrix.

They really tried for a 'PG' rating on this, but it doesn't look likely due to the ending where Alice is in re-hab for substance abuse and the Rabbit is in a 12-step program to stop post processing himself.

I would gladly have played the caterpillar in my younger days, but they wanted somebody younger, more stable, with conservative values and not prone to doing or saying anything controversial or odd... someone like Tom Cruise.

Thanks. I think it's probably the closest I've come to getting something for your informal challenge from a year or more ago regarding the little silver Canon cameras. At this rate, it's going to take me way too long to come up with enough material for much of an exibition though.
