2nd year in a row it rained....Saturday started off Rainy and got better then got worse and cleared up as we were leaving. Here are some pictures that I figured I would share with everyone! I must have took 1000 images and these are some of the best....it was strange because the conditions went from not enough light right into too much light in a matter of hours. Also wish I would have had a polarizing filter to put on because I lost alot of shots from glare.
I have to say I love shooting motorsports...I was talking to one of the pro photographers and he mentioned you could purchase a pass for $500 which allows you access inside the fence and everywhere a pro can go...not too bad....alot of the good shots you can't get without being inside the fences...etc If I had more time to attend events I'd definately go for that.
Anyways suggestions welcome....I'm still learning so any pointers are appreciated. I wish I had a 400mm or larger lens because 300mm is definately pushing it with motorsports...I was lucky with VIR because there are alot of great places to take pictures because it is so open but most tracks are like that..

Sunday was much better...sunny all day...almost too sunny for pictures at some points.
The Banner Corvette wasn't running well but it sure looked and sounded nice...Leighton Reece
TRG had quite a showing there...they had several pontiac GTO's (one I believe who placed 1st in the GT Class) and a few GT3's.

Wish there were more contrast but I couldn't really position the cars
