EX S600

I think it's good alternative to Z850 to own if you want good unlimited video with ultracompact size. Z850 has better picture quality. S600 has all the goodies of z850 such as ISO 800 (HS ISO1600), anti-shake movie, and MPEG4 quality movie... Good night shots... Many control to play around. Although the picture is not as sharp as z850, I will never develop my picture bigger than 4x6 or 5x7 (I have never done so in my life time). Not a concern to me.

But I expected that and bought it as a camera to take with me anywhere. It sort of depends on what you're used to and where you're coming from. All the ultra-compacts are a compromise for size.

hey ive been deciding on which camera to buy as well

bin deciding between the z750/z850/s600

i think im finally goin to make my purchase tomorrow on the s600 because of the mpeg4 video (the 850 issue still hasnt been fixed) and the image stabalization (which the 750 doesnt have :-\ )

the picture quality isnt as good and you have a lot less manual controls but for an ultracompact with mpeg4 video (this was important to me!) i dont see any better solutions on the market at the moment.

Is the image stabilization on the s600 worthwhile enough to use?

the canon camera's are no doubt better quality than the casio's in terms of p&s... however the z750 and 850 offer a lot of manual controls which the canon sd's do not

my friends recently bought the sd400 and the 550. the pictures are extermely clear but i wanted something with a good movie mode (mpeg4) so i had to turn away from casio.
