Nikon Speedlights Portrait - Pls Critique

Ok, guys I finally had a chance to do this again. This time I used my mini-softbox/diffuser on my SB600 as the hair light, and used my SB800 in a medium size softbox for the key light and I brought the light up higher.

Thanks for all of the comments and assistance. I know I still have a ways to go, but already I am happy with the improvement.

This is the new shot from today:

This was my first attempt last week:

not to be rude or anything, but since no one else has pointed it out maybe I think I might (because maybe it's just me...) But the black shirt plus black background combination... kinda... well... makes it look like a floating head with hair... Yeah... sorry... I don't normally like to critisize like that, but I thought I should let you know.

I bit less fill and more hairlight and you've got a winner. I say more hairlight because, as Post pointed out above, there needs to be a bit more separation between subject and BG.
Much better.

No offense taken Post. I appreciate the feedback. This one will be my last post, I appreciate everyones opinions and suggestions.

This is my younger daughter with more hair light and different color top.

Thanks again for all the feedback from everyone.
