Really nicel interpretation old vs. young Saad! Not only in terms of 2 people of different ages but because it also has a teacher/student element to it, which in its own way fits the challenge theme as well. Thanks for contributing again! :)

This one definitely fits the challenge theme. Shot taken in Agra, during my summer trip to India.

Second picture - Delhi rickshaw drivers. Perhaps the age difference is not so huge as in the first picture, though these two men expressions amplify it a lot. The younger looking happy, self-confident, looking forward to his future life, whatever it brings. The older - sad, resigned, fully reconciled to his fate.

Both pictures taken with Sony F707.

Thanks for posting two great entries Wojtas! Both shots do back up the theme very well but what I find superb in your photos is the gritty, contrasty compositions... very nice shots!

I always get Rotterdam and Amsterdam mixed up, and honestly when I think of that hotel, I still wrongfully think it's Amsterdam for some reason (terrible memory I guess huh?). Thanks for the info, at least my assumption that the building wasn't there 4 years ago seems right :P

but the older redhead is the grandmother of the child!

Thank you Jerry for closing out the challenge with another fine entry! Have to nod in agreement, that woman does not at all look like grandmother material (well, at least nothing like my grandmothers were, as I recall ;) ).

Where have you been hanging out lately btw? There's a new weekly thread that may interest you, which reminds me, I'll have to give that one a bump soon too :-/

Many thanks to all who participated! Every shot represented the theme very well. Now I have to decide on the best three, which I dread somewhat since this challenge is trial by judge only instead of the jury that collectively decides in the STF challenges.

Please allow me up to 24 hours to post the results, as I am not at my own computer today and I'm finding it impossible to devote exclusive time until much later tonight.

Thank you again everyone, it has been a most enjoyable experience :)

Don't want to get too much of a reputation as a critic.

While I think it's beneficial to play the "devil's advocate" sometimes - even on images we like a lot - just to get the photographer thinking in a different direction, I'm not sure that's always appreciated here...
