upgrade to 30D or upgrade lenses!!

i have a 300d and want to take more action(sports) and low-light shots(graduations & weddings). should i get the 30D or should i upgrade my lenses from a 17-85is and 70-300 to a 17-55is f2.8, 85 f1.8, 50 f1.4, and
70-200 f2.8.

I would say for better low light performance as well as faster fps for the sports I would upgrade to a 30D thats my 2 cents

Faster body and fast lenses.

My 2 cents.

I'd say your plan should be a good low light setup.

lenses, but your upgrade needs some work.

the 17-55 2.8.. replace that with a 24-70 2.8. get the 70-200 2.8.

that should cover 90% of your photos.

If you're going to use the 50 1.4 for sports, don't. id use the 85 1.8 for indoor sports (basketball vb etc)

if you're going to use the 50 1.4 for weddings/graduations, don't. Get the 50 1.8 for cheap. The 50 1.8 won't focus fast enough for most indoor sports, but you don't need AF speed for weddings/grads, so save your money.

So in short:
50 1.8 - optional
85 1.8 - get
24-70 - get
70-200 - get

oh, and don't upgrade to a 30d. just grab a used 20d over at FM for cheap. they're probably selling like mad now.
