to win this colors i do the white balance manually with a white paper
and then with photoshop i win this coloristic efects.

My question is: can you do any similar than me with your e500?
if is possible, can you send me a photo taked with wbalance manualy to
view the posibilities?

if is it taken with 14-45 lens kit better because maybe is my choice to buy.

I loved my six oh two, now loving seven thousand.

as easy to do as with DSLR's can do IR photography but it is not as easy to do as with some EVF cameras. Several olympus P&S cameras were great for this, as i recall one was the 2020z I may be wrong. The sony F828 and other sony models with the night shot. Or built in Infra red are very good at this. Or if your really serious about infrared and DSLR get a Infrared converted model at maxmax.

Once you have taken the IR pics, putting in false colors as you did is just PP.

Hope that helps a little. I dont use much color on my IR pics but here are some examples...not with the E-500 but my sont F828

One thing that hasn't been suggested is to take your Hoya R72 filter down to the local camera store and try it on the E-500, Nikon D50/D70/D200, and the Canon EOS 350D/20D. Take your laptop along and look at the images created with each camera. Then make your buying decision based upon what results you get.

try to post here one without postprocessing and i will post my postprocessing. Regards
Have a look in my smugmug account, IR experiments files.
I really haven't had the time to play, but the two shots in there
are VERY quick and dirty extracts from a .jpg with a Hoya R72 on
the 11-22.
I haven't tried the colour way yet, is that just layer masking in
PS you use? I can meybe have a try.

Hey tim, this is a good example but i think it could be better.
Can you try to set manual white balance and take one

other wise i think my post processing with photoshop is a little bit better than yours (i hope it don't disturb you)
This are my workarround
Duplicate layer
Clean the image with neatimage
Autolevels
Layer/new adjustment layer/hue saturation (change the mode to color)
move the hue to change the color
and this is my result:

and this was yours

Tnx very much for your help.
Regards Tim
