Hi you all,

I have been liking, no loving my F505V for a year, but...

Today I received my 'Enlighted Angel' and I didn't know what I have been missing the last year.

This camera is just amazing, no AMAZING.

Didn't do any fine photographing with it, as I just wanted to test.

Have been asking people now owners of a F707 and former owners of a F505V, if there was much differance. Well didn't get that much responce, but I do like and feel amazingly happy, I ordered one last Friday.

It came in this morning and I think Phil has to do some more review on it and give it the ratings it realy deserves.

I checked out sofar if the Sony wide angle adapter is still working fine and yes it is.

Checked for BFS and no I don't think it has a problem, besides the F505V did have had real flashing problems.

The way it is focussing, it starts up, how it feels, well I just would like to write:

HOW CAN THEY BUILD A THING LIKE THIS for so less money.

I know outside the uSA prices have been at the USD 1400 level, but I bought it for just a little bit below USD 1000, with a full year warranty on labour and parts.

If I have waited for 1,5 months I would have had 2 years, but if it's working fine for 12 months it will be working fine for some more time.

Proposal:

Rename the 'Dark Angel' into the 'Enlighted Angel', as I think 'dark' was just the nickname as it gave rumours about it's existance, so kind of dark ages, but now we can handdle this little genious piece of engineering, and we should think about what we realy do think about it.

Less than $1000, I payed twice the price for a 'cheap' reflex 35mm camera some 30 years ago.

The F707 is realy fine, for me it's the 'Enlighted Angel'.

jacques,

going out of his mind in joy for having this fine and highly sofisticated tool.

Tol, toy, well jsu make your choise as I like tols as toys, always will stay a boy. ;--)

I also owned an f505 before I bought my f707 and I thought at the time that I was just buying a newer model (with nightvision). but this camera is so much more than the f505, I just wish I'd bought it BEFORE my trip to Europe last month, instead of waiting until I got back. :(

He Shay,

I am wondering too, as it feels quite new but still very familiar.

I never ever have trown away some captures, but I did today, already have a bad feeling about that.

Will make an other shot of it tomorrow, but feel it's just an amazing tool.

jacques

In this forum it might not be the 'rule', but I just like to write a reply on everyone's comments, I feel it's somehow polite.

Hi fayew,

I Think you did enjoy the F505V as much as I did, but this new toy for girls and boys a like, it realy is an eye opener.

But I think you still like the shots you made with the F505V, as it has been a very, very fibe tool too.

MS or not, well for me that ain't the question, to get much more than you have paid for, that's kind of reward.

Hi oemag,

I just will try to have some other hard testing, but I 'lll not try to override

I sincerely do wish you like the toy as I do within just a couple of hours.

jacques

Get all that G1, G2 talkings at the place they belong.

I even think, based on the figures, the E20, and all so called 'Pro' are in the dark side of the alley.

I pretty much gazed at it for my first couple of hours. Pleasant to the eyes I must say...

I guess if you back up over the camera with a stick shift, that's a manual override. Otherwise, an automatic override. :)
