Olympus Studio does NOT work on new MAc Intel laptops!!!!

Huh? Where does the evidence that suggests this comes from?
Most creative profs work with a Mac... A mac is just better (in terms of color management, screen quality etc.) for photographers.

But creative people are the minority on the planet - so apple´s market share is not that big.

But Olympus is a camera maker, not?

that is bad indeed.

I believe Studio is one of the worst applications ever.. speedwise, workflow wise and architecture wise. Its probably still an old carbon application which will take a loooong time to convert to universal/intel and XCode.
unfortunately, there is no other option for tethered I believe?

I hate to say this but I wouldn't be so sure the marketshare is bigger amongst "creative professionals." What kind of "creative professional" are you defining here? I can tell you right now the Mac is not the majority in use by any stretch of the imagination of the creative professionals that work in the videogames industry.

I want to make it clear- I am not saying the Mac doesn't have presence amongst photographers- just that I don't think we can just go by the "expectation." I would be more willing to believe this "old adage" if we were talking about the desktop publishing industry and even there I am not so sure anymore (it certainly used to be a while back).

Happy to report that I now have dual boot on my MacBookPro and Olympus Studio and E1 (tether) work like a charm so far. Windows is quite zippy with this thing too. Got XP SP2 Home OEM for 117.00 Canadian when I got a firewire drive for my desktop. What luck instead of paying 260.00 for a stand alone version!

Glad Studio works on the MacBook Pro - but is that on the XP or OSX side of things?
