Let me know what you think. I was within an inch or two of it. This is straight out of the camera. Sorry about the size of it. I do not have an editing program yet. I am thinking about getting Photoshop elements 4. I tried the 30 day trial but it ended before I got this camera.

Not too shabby! As others have mentioned, a bit soft on focus but good, none the less..

You might try Picasa2 until you're ready to move up to a purchased Post Processing software.

Its free, has a lot of basic PP tools that do a good job, has user adjustments that are seen in real time and easily undone... try it, most all that have it highly recommend it...

Nice photo Tim,

I use PSE3 and find it does everything that I want it to and probably an awful lot more that I haven't figured out yet. I don't know about PSE 4 and I have figured that 3 is enough for me, If I was in the market for another I would certainly get the latest. Also if you want to go further Richard Lynch's book and CD of tools (The Hidden power of Photoshop Element) brings Elements close to the funtionality of Photoshop. His book for PSE4 is now out.

If you want to decide a little longer Picasa is a free program from google and can do a lot of the basics. Do a search, you should quickly find it. Picasa has the best system for finding pics that are anywhere on your hard drive.

Thanks for the link. I downloaded it and am now trying it out.

Hi Tim,

Nice picture. Love the depth of field. The focus is a bit soft
and you could have used a bit more light but it is a very nice
picture under the circumstances. Please keep 'em coming.

Just like you and others stated it is a little soft and could of used some more light. When I took this shot I was standing under the tree and holding the FZ30 about head high. It was partly cloudy if I remember right. I sure need to practice more on the manual zoom.

I hope you don't mind. Problem is that my editing as accentuated some noise. I tried to reduce noise in Noiseware CE, but it just took away details of the flowers.

I like it very much - and the edited version that cosmoxl did is a nice example of what pp can do to enhance a good picture. I recently bought Elements 4 - it's a terrific piece of software. I also downloaded some inexpensive ehancements (Hidden Power) and bought a book (Photoshop Elements 4 One-on-One by Deke McClelland) that has really accellerated my learning curve. I recommend the book - it comes with a CD with lessons and examples on it that really help. I have used E2 for a few years but wasn't into it much - mostly underused it for cropping and such - having the latest version and getting serious about learning to use it has been a lot of fun.
