Ok, Judy and Straycat,

Here's some barns and a final look at the Pend Oreille River. Seems that folk are sneaking into my gallery and they clearly like the barns the best, so...here we go! There's other shots in the gallery I may not get around to posting. These were taken on or very near the Pend Oreille River, in Washington.

Two shots, same barn.
I know, you want this brighter...well it wasn't.

Yes, the sun came out a little brighter for this shot.

A final shot of the river and mountains. The higher peak, to the right, ( I know, it doesn't look higher but it's 1000 ft. higher then the main mountain, Linton.) Hooknose, at 7210 ft. and is back in my county, Stevens, and nearly into Canada. It looks brighter on my screen at night and I'm sure it will look different on every screen at every time of day.

You have so many beautiful hills, valleys, and mountains around you! All really nice shots. I found myself focusing in on the tree shadow on the barn in the second shot. I cropped it to focus in even more. I'm not sure I like the crop but I really like this stuff in the photo the most. I don't know if that makes any sense either LOL! Catherine

Boy, this sure did turn out small

I really like the third one, the wave-like profiles of the mountains, the river, and the cloud banks all complement eachother. Really nicely framed. (I mean even without the frame :)

I guess I like the second one best-shows a bit more of that dilapidated look that I favor.

Your pic of the river with Hooknose in the background is gorgeous. Thanks for the geography lesson, as well. I may have to take a trip to your side of the hill soon- I think the nearest I have been is Republic.

Wonderful, Sharon. Add me to to your list of barn and mountain picture lovers.

Oh, thanks you! Its a tad dark but...I've revised it some, posted down below after some prodding from Wayne. And since all I know about the 765 I've learned for him...I redid it.
You sure do have access to some fabulous views! Sure glad you
share with us!
I am so glad you like these views. People will begin to believe this whole area is noting but wonderful views. I need to do one post on the eyesores. I am more than happy to share these. This is my new adopted country and I'm very proud of it.

Oh, right - no peeking, I'm sure! I can never figure out how folk find stuff in my gallery before I even get them posted. I go to post a pic and it'll say 2 views and 1 direct link! Don't these people ever sleep?

Thanks so much for looking at these and sharing them with me. I always appreciate your comments.

Steve,
I know, you want this brighter...well it wasn't.
I laughed out loud at this, Sharon!
You were probably dozing off and needed some waking up!
Great series. I love the interplay between the shape of the barns
and the form of the mountains.
Thanks so much. Do check the revised barn I posted further down the thread and let me know if its an improvement.
Thanks for sharing them with us.
Thanks for our comments, I always enjoy them.

Hi, Katherine,
rustic barn setting...but I see it's an active farm as I see a cow.
Yep! That's a working cattle ranch. There were lots more critters out of the range of the pic. You can tell because the loading chute on the far left by the barn is in good repair.
I like the red in the second one.
The sun just came out, briefly, right on que. I've revised the 1st shot and posted it lower down the thread, maybe you'll like that red, too.
3rd - pastoral..
Now that you mention it...right out of Beethoven's 6th. I was thinking about developing a Powerpoint slideshow with music and I think you've got it!

Thanks so much for looking and your comments.
