Why are my Nikon 995 images B&W, not colour, on the TV

Have rigged up my Nikon 995 to display images on to the TV. Whether I go in through the TV itself or the video recorder, the images only come out in Black and White, not colour.

Can anyone tell me why?

Just a thought - does your camera allow you to choose between NTSC and PAL?
