Best camera under $200

What is you pick for best camera under $200?
Check out the Kodak Z730.
I don't know if it's the "best" or not, but it's
certainly worth a look in this price range. Lowst US price
looks to be about $171 (including shipping) from BuyDig or Beach.

$192 (including shipping) from Beach.

The Canon A520 is now on clearance at major US outlets, for less than $150. It's hard to find something else in that price range with its combination of features, including both manual exposure and manual white balance, a good lens and excellent image quality.

A number of sites have reported this as the top selling model for months now and I think the replacements (A530, A540) will do almost as well.

I agree,

My wife uses the A520 and it is a fine camera for the price.........but the A610 has been coming down in price almost daily and currently it's at $205. Give it another week and it'll be under $200. This has to be the best value on the market. With all it's features and performance there's no equal for that price... no one's even close. Low noise, aperture and shutter priorities as well as full manual modes, fast recycle times, great DigicII processor, strong flash, swivel LCD, AA's, SD card, fast burst rate, excellent macro and great video are all pluses.

I use that camera at work and the photo quality is good but be aware, the shot to shot times are sloooow.

Although I use an Olympus E-1 for all my pro work and used an Oly E-10 for 5 years prior to that, I felt I needed something portable rather than drag a big camera around. I ended up buying the Sony W-5 which I've been really happy with for several reasons. It takes AA Batteries and has 32MB of built-in memory and a nice 2.5" LCD screen and is a 5.1MP file size. I paid $150 for it on eBay brand new but I think it now can be found for around $175 at the chain stores. With a Memory Stick Pro you can also shoot "640 FINE" video with this camera and it's roughly the size of a deck of playing cards. It has a 3X optical zoom and Carl Zeiss optics. What else can you ask for for that low price? This is a great little camera that feels solid and takes great photos!

go into a camera store and pick the two best looking cameras ...ask the associate if you can see them ...then put one in your left hand and one in your right hand and turn the power on at the same time...next aim at the same subject and press the shutter at the same time...which one is faster???buy it
