Best templates for digital wedding album

Photofusion's Lumapix. It doesn't have set templates, but does have a lot of automation, which you can then alter as you see fit. Hardly anything better out there, and there are several labs associated with them now. Not terribly cheap, but worth the money as a time saver.

The point made in most of these threads is that some sellers offer
expensive "wedding album" software that does not have near the
features of existing programs. The software is bundled into a slick
looking package and interface that might be useful, but not worth
the cost.

If you are designing albums you could use any number or programs.
Quark, InDesign, Photoshop, FireWorks or Corel Draw would all do the
job.

Make your own templates. You can arrange them anyway you like. Use
masks or size imported files as you like. It is not a hard process in any
of the above mentioned programs. The mechanical process is easy, the
artistic part is developed in time.

good luck

If you are just starting out and your PS skills are rudimentary, album design in PS may seem like a daunting task. After all, making templates and saving PS actions takes time.

For many, it may be worthwhile farming these services out to the bookbinder, lab, etc. Time is money. The learning curve for Photoshop can be steep. These designers can usually produce more eye-catching designs than most photographers can

Templates are the way to go for speed. Most templates allow modification.

Yervant's YouSelectIt is some of the best templates. But FotoVision Lumapix and Labprints have the shortest learning curve. Labprints has templates and Lumapix is more of a collage builder.

Photoshop Actions are another time saving method. If you can't design your own, you can get started with Gary Fong's actions and then add a few of your own. This is the method I use and once you get the hang of things, it will go faster.

Make sure you time yourself while making the see album pages and figure your time in the cost of sales. You can get carried away and whittle hours of valuable time sitting in front of you computer

Yervant's application is called "PageGallery".

YouSelectIt is marketed by Martin Schrembri.

Well said, though.
