I think I have visited before, there is some good stuff there, a few years ago I did some IR experiments using an old Agfa P&S digital, got some great results but nothing like HIE coupled with a B+W 093, hopefully an in camera filter mod including focus plane trim will make the *ist D a nice dedicated IRDSLR

Thanks all for the great suggestions.
I haven't had a chance to pick up the D from Photo-Tronics yet, but when I do I'll try the suggestions in this order:
1) Superglue at the end of a straightened paper clip.
2) Get narrowest-gauge drill bit I can find, drill into broken-off plug. Then, if the plug doesn't come out with the drill bit, repeat paper clip step, this time down into driled hole.
3) Take it to a jeweler and ask if they can extract it.

I don't know how much is broken off inside. For me it was just the tip, and superglue doesn't stick the metal-to-metal - however an epoxy glue (eg araldite) will
