You're very welcome - was it what you needed?
Yes thanks, I got it a few seconds after it was sent and PM'd you soon after.

Thanks all for the great suggestions.

I haven't had a chance to pick up the D from Photo-Tronics yet, but when I do I'll try the suggestions in this order:

1) Superglue at the end of a straightened paper clip.

2) Get narrowest-gauge drill bit I can find, drill into broken-off plug. Then, if the plug doesn't come out with the drill bit, repeat paper clip step, this time down into driled hole.
3) Take it to a jeweler and ask if they can extract it.

Many Thanks,

Greg

Greg,

I don't know how much is broken off inside. For me it was just the tip, and superglue doesn't stick the metal-to-metal - however an epoxy glue (eg araldite) will

I really wouldn't mind a copy of that pdf too if you don't mind,
I'm thinking of butchering my *ist D and fitting a permanent IR
filter over the sensor when I finally replace it. Thanks.
I'd be very interested, too. Both in the pdf and your IR experiences!
Hi Jens,

Well I'm guessing it won't be until the middle of next year at the
earliest assuming that I actually stick with Pentax. That said the
following pages provided the seed for the idea :-)
