Thanks got the chance on a mint 2.8 135 for £ 45.00
which is not bad very happy with the 50 1.4 i got.

As for the 50-200 i agree it is excellent but , it's got to go ( to big for me to carry about everyday and the 135 is nice and small... oh and cheap
thanks

I use it but I'm quite undecided about it. It appears to cause colour problems and the sheet that comes with the adapter recomends only using it from f5.6 - same as the f3.5 version.

I've been most impressed with it when using it for b+w portraits on my e300 indoors. I would take peoples recommendations though and either spend a little less on the 3.5 or save for a digital lens.

Be aware of those manual fogus lens. I have many of those but just for fun only (miss the fogus is ok type of pic). Otherwise I always stay with ZD lens.

With the E-1, focusing is not a problem with any of those manual lenses. Manual focusing with the E-300 is a bit more difficult. I own an OM 135 3.5 lens and rarely use it because of all the other manual zooms that I have (such as an old Vivitar series 1). I have tested the OM 135 3.5 and its quite sharp.

This is one of my absolutely favorite lens & camera combinations! I have used it extensively, shooting wide open most of the time. It may be slightly soft there, but I find it gives a perfect dynamic range, is easy to focus, lightweight, and wonderful images. I recently acquired the ZD 40-150mm and have been using that in lieu of the OM 135mm f2.8, but I actually like the OM lens better at the longer end--I think it's sharper and no harder to focus, considering my ZD 40-150mm tends to hunt a bit for focus.

cheers,
HS

Thanks

As i staid I can get a 2.8 for £45.00 which is much the same as a 3.5. How did you get on with focusing ? have you used the Katzeye screen? and is that still ok on AF?
thanks
