I had a canon 20 D.and was looking to upgrade.

I got an opportunity to upgrade and sold it to a friend who really was happy with my shots.including my 3 lenses 10-20/70-300/ none f/2.8.

I bought 5 D 100-400 70-200 f 2.8 24-105 f/2.8(I had a 70-300 f/4-5.6 and was very happy with it) teleconverter etc.

I tried 70-200 today first it is very heavy two there is a motor noise and I am not sure if my shots are going to be any better than 70-300 f 4-5.6 that gave me great resukts and was light weight.

Will all this be a good upgrade for me I wonder. I have to try them all but am trying to get input so that i can make the right decision and return if i have to.
Any comments will be appreciated.
What is this noise all about in 70-200
Thanks

that must be a fake!

Just kidding, well, I think you have made the right choice for owning those 3 glasses, in fact, I would suggest you add a teleconverter since you no longer have the crop factor advantage.

With the 20D, your 300mm is 480mm :)

Is this lens the IS version. If it is, then when you turn on the IS you'll hear the constant motor noise.
