I was hoping for 50mp and 10 fps. Guess I won't upgrade 'til the ZDMKII comes out ;-)

still 12bit raw

when we have 10 000:1 DLPs and Sony pushes for 16bit HDMI that even the Ps3 will have at least 12bit...

so in a year I will be watching my Blu-Ray movies in 16bit for 2300$ (2 000$ for TV, 300$ for Ps3) and I will be taking 12bit pictures with my 16 000$ (was it?) camera... lets hope foe a new CMOS from Canon

hehehe :) you are funny
what else could I be talking when I say 12bit and 16bit? :)
I was refering to the bits per channel of course.
I think you may misunderstand bit depth, there are 3 colour
channels therefore 12-bit per colour channel = 36-bit picture.

They will tend to put the money where it counts most. So if they're trying to keep a price point and they have the choice between a larger LCD in the back or higher resolution in the sensor, the choice they make is nothing to laugh about. They'll go with the higher resolution sensor.

A smaller LCD is a minor inconvenience.

They'll look on the computer that the camera is tethered too, of course. Or teh photog will pop out the card and put it into the card reader and continue with a different card. You don't actually think that a client wants to look at a 2.5 inch screen? Or that the difference between a 1 1/8" screen and a slightly larger one is going to matter, do you?

yeah.... thats the big money-saver (LCD-size)

wake up buddy

if you are shooting in a studio you can get a real mid-size with a nice digi-back... and what they bleep is this cam for?

wasn't that supposed to be competition for 1Ds? how about weather sealing for starters :)

it took at least 3-4 years for this cam to be developed, and it will be obsolete in less than 12 months (since the only thing that it offers is 22MP)

it better be two words - "sunk cost"
hope they can come up with something better

have a nice day :-)

Please send a letter to Mamiya explaining your concerns. I'm sure they'll be very interested in what you have to say. Maybe they'll even send you a little gift, a nice big lolly-pop. Do you prefer red, or orange?
