F30- has it got RAW ? (nt)

no date stamp function, no remote control, no noise, no nothing;-)

It's about half the camera I need...

Lack of raw and wide is acceptable, but date stamp and histogram definitely sucks. Heck, I thought it had a date stamp. :(

Why would you want a date stamp? Everything is fixed so you can't reposition it in case you crop your picture, it's much better to just batch add it back in later, you get to customize the location and the font style. My sister have a Kodak P&S with date stamp and it look really horrible because the text was way too big.

I agree about the lack of histogram, is it's a great feature to have at your disposal.

date stamp is just for memory's sake. If I only shoot a few shots at a time, it's most difficult to remember when they were shot...unless I download right afterwards, I guess. It'd be nice to be able to fill up a card without having to download for the sake of remembering dates. I know...sounds weird, but it makes sense to me.

But aren't they already time stamped in the F10/11. Well, not "on" the picture itself, but in its data. You can view the pictures in the calender mode that shows pictures taken on a given day. Isn't that even better than time stamped pictures?

It should have a date and time record in the image caputre data.... Ona mac you can click on the image and press command/apple + I and get the date created... At least my canon g6 and then/now my fuji f11 and canon sd20 all had it, provided, of course, that you have the date and time set in your camera.

so, i wouldn't worry about that... As for histogram, it might be useful. But for the target audience, it would probably go unused... Generally, I do not think P & S people look at histograms.

I had the same request and a forum friend directed me to this FREE software. It works fine. It takes the date/time from the EXIF data or you can enter your own values.
Hope this helps... :))

I sometimes need to photograph certain circumstances for my work and it would be nice to be able to go into the menu and have the time and date stamped into, embedded into the image, so I dont have to fool with it later.

No SD card? Why would Fuji want to toss away their customer base using xD cards to recruit some former Canon and Casio users? They wouldn't. Fuji will never use the SD card in one of its new models, and thank god for it.

In the case of the F10/F11, and if the F30 is as prone to blowing highlights, I think you'd see many of us welcome a histogram on any new Fuji P&S. Date Stamp? Who cares.

Interestingly, the DIMA award winner for small dye-sub printers boasts that their printer takes 7 different format cards in the printer's card slot...everything BUT xD.

Does it hook up to a PC? If so, the card reader is worthless. I'll take xD all day.
