Many years ago, my photography addiction began when I was racing motocross. most of my early work was from races that I attended, in which I wasn't racing.

last weekend, I went to Indy for the Supercross. actually, I went to the afternoon practice session since it provides better photo opportunitys. at practice, you can sit just about where you want. the plan was to sit on the bottom row, and shoot panning shots in burst mode as the riders flew above me. I was wanting to get some nice shots of some of my favorite riders. and I did. I am ecstatic with the results!

took two lenses, my 80-200 2.8 and my 50 1.8.

this shot of Ricky made my day!!

soon to be a 12x18, matted and framed on the wall. might take down next year to get it autographed.

full frame pic with 50mm 1.8, ISO 400, 1/320, preset WB. the only PP was a little sharpening using the 'low' setting on Nikon View. I had an 8x12 printed yesterday of it, and I am AMAZED at the clarity,sharpness, and lack of grain at 400 ISO.

also had an 8x12 made of this pic of Bubba

showed off these at work today, as well as the camera shop, and the motorcycle shop.

these pics were also taken with the 50mm;

these were with the 80-200 2.8. 1/200
