Survey, your age and how much you spend on last 12 months with your D30

Age: 56

After a long absence from serious photography, I've spent, since October last year $15000. This includes D30 outfit and Kodak 8660 printer. Getting ready to spend $1000 for studio lights. Wow! I'm scaring myself. Sure glad my wife of 36 years doesn't read this forum, I wouldn't make 37 years! But she gladly accepts the grandkid photos.

40 - so far $4000

46 years old, but I still likes my toys. More like 46 months old in that regard.

As for dough, whoo baby. You had to ask, huh? Where do you draw the line? Computer upgrades? Software? Plug-ins? Lens hoods? Paper? Tripod? No matter how you add it up, it's about $10K.

But you know what, the end is in sight. Give me a fast telephoto (I still want a 400mm DO. ouch. damn.), a hextone inkset / CIS for my old Epson750, maybe another 420EX, and a decent set of lighting stands, and I am ready to rock and roll. Me and my kit, f-8 and be there.

These are tools, as well as toys. I bought first quality stuff that will serve me well, forever. Photography is a great skill, and the resulting product is precious. I've learned a lot, about a great many things, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've still got a lot to learn, and I'm excited about that, too. I can't see that I've wasted a dime.

oops....anyway. So far about $7000 but in the next 5 months planning another $8000 on just lenses and another flash

$47,000 give or take a little.

About $10,000 on D-30 Lenses and 550's 420 and STe2 etc for portable flash system and background stand etc.
$1800 on Studio flash system and remotes
About $37,000 for construction of a studio attached to my home.

I best be doing a lot of marketing.

$7600...but I consider the D30 the best camera enjoyment I've had in the 50 years I've been photographing. Could easily spend a lot more if I could spare it! 600mm ƒ4 IS for starters!!!

27, happily married with a beautiful baby girl [she's 15 months]

have manged to only spend ~ US$4,500... it's been a tough job behaving everytime i visit the camera stores [nearly twice a week!] but we have heavy bills to pay these few years !

It would be interesting to know the monthly income as that would be a better monitor of devotion [or madness] we have towards photography [and our D30!]
