**Mini Challenge #103 Things are Looking Up*

Wow! That creature in the grass sure jumps out at you. Seems like you would have to be pretty darn low and close to get that amazing point of view. The dog is looking up and boy is she/he a cutie pie. Love that shot. The best perspective wise according to the topic is number three, I agree the sky could have cooperated more, however I do like the angle. Perhaps it would be a good experiement to try to crop number three in order to move the point of view slight from the very center, it might divide the shot left to right less. Three differant shots. Thanks.

OK, I will try to post this response under your shot! What a concept.

I really like shots of structures and if that one could talk... Anyway, it is nicely composed, I like the addition of the barb wire. What time of day did you shoot it? I think it would be a fun structure to see in evening/morning/stormy light. Yvonne

Welcome to the learning and sharing! You did a great job posting and the size is just fine. I really like the title and the point of view up through the trees. I agree the crop from the left is beneficial, it removes a bit of blur and focuses attention more to the heights. The skeleton trees are really cool looking. It does look black and white, but I too live in the Pacific NW and realize life can be a bit gray. By the way, the idea is to take shots, enjoy it and love the shots. They do not have to be perfect to be awesome to us do they? Have you heard of Picassa? It is a free download editing program for people like me (not that you are) that are intimidated by photoshop. It would allow you to do some simple cropping, sharpening etc. I hope you come to enjoy this forum and share more.

What a beautiful view. Are you in a plane? It is a pretty awesome point of view. The sky could be a bit more colorful. I think you exposed for the darker valley floor that the sky. I often do that and end up with a too bright sky. Where is this?

I agree, that timelines shot gets your attention. Who put a high rise behind that old church full of character? Makes you go hmmmmm.

My personal favorite entry is number two however. I felt almost dizzy when I looked at it. Thanks for the entries.

Now there is a blue sky!!! I like the entry. The mountain is pretty awesome and full of color. It may be a bit over sharpened (the sky) but the perspective is right on and the colors glorious. Thank-you

Glad you like the topic. I must say I was up pretty late trying to figure it out. Thats why it says 103 instead of 102! Anyway, three great looking up shots. The star top on the lighthouse is a nice capture. It is a bit overpowering, but then it is the sun. The coaster shot has nice angles to it and I like the direction you shot it from. Number three is my favorite. It is clean, simple, but feels like I am standing there myself looking up the hill. (better than running it...smile)
