M 300/4

I'm starting to think I can better not spend my (hard earned) money on this baby. I think I can better use it to raise my bid on the Tokina 150-500 F5,6 I'm trying to buy. Probably little less quality, but more versatile (zoom and 'a' position).

After I finished my school career I'll try to find a decent job so I can afford more genuine high quality pentax prime glass. (though this will take at least another 3 years:s)

Thanks for your replies!

I used to have one of these critters. It was built like the proverbial tank and was a joy to use. However, I found that it was pretty good for 150mm-300mm or so, but got somewaht soft above that, especially above 400mm. (And, even at 300mm, the Tokina AT-X 300/4 [manual fcous version], a lens that I recommend highly, is sharper, as well as being faster.) Since I was using the lens a lot right at 500mm, its softness became a serious problem for me, and so I ended up selling it.

Just my two f-stops worth...
